The Childhood Asthma Questionnaire was developed to tap quality of life and the level of distress caused by asthma in children.
The Childhood Asthma Questionnaire was tested in 535 children ages 4-16 years. Pearson correlation coefficient between 0.63-0.84 for questionnaire subscales indicate good test-retest reliability. Intraclass correlation coefficients in a very similar range showed that scores also remained at the same level on the two occasions. Comparisons between children with asthma and healthy non-asthmatics indicate that these are likely to be true estimates of stability.
